Personal Profile

Mr Gibbins was appointed as a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist in 2012 at University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich where he is part of the head and neck multidisciplinary team and runs the corresponding thyroid team.

He treats all aspects of general and paediatric ENT conditions and has a specialist interest in voice disorders of all types including the professional voice user. He also has an interest in thyroid, parathyroid and salivary gland surgery stemming from his NHS work at Lewisham Hospital.

He graduated in 1998 from Guy’s Hospital, London and trained in Australia and the UK, completing his training in London. He was awarded a Medical Doctorate for advanced research into tongue cancers from University of Sussex in 2011 and received the Gold Medal for best research paper at the 2011 ENT Masterclass. He organises and teaches on educational courses and runs the London ENT Courses. He has published extensively including many book chapters and articles and is national e-learning lead for laryngology (voice).
