About Mr Neil Bradbury

Personal Profile

Mr Neil Bradbury is Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon specialising exclusively in knee surgery and a leading expert in Mako® robotic-arm knee joint replacement, and regenerative surgery.

Neil completed his training at Nottingham's Queens Medical Centre - one of the most distinguished orthopaedic hospitals in the UK. He also trained in Australia with Dr Leo Pinczewski and Dr Mervyn Cross, and in the USA with Dr Richard Steadman - three of the world's most eminent surgeons. These fellowships have provided Neil with super-specialist training in his clinical areas of interest - knees.

Neil has one of the largest and most experienced practices in the UK. As well as performing a large number of primary knee replacements, he has an international reputation in complex knee surgery and sports injury surgery. Using the latest proven surgical and non-surgical techniques he works closely with leading sports physicians and physiotherapists to provide an integrated approach to recovery that helps each patient return to work, or their chosen sport, as quickly as possible

Neil specialises in knee ligament reconstructions (ACL), meniscal/cartilage repair and transplant, osteotomy, partial (uni), and total knee replacement.

As a leading expert in regenerative knee surgery and robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery, Neil mentors knee surgeons from around the world. He co-founded the Biological Knee Society which was set up to evaluate surgical options for knee reconstruction.

At Bath Clinic Neil and our team of highly qualified professionals work with the Mako® robotic-arm. This is specifically designed technology developed for complex hip and knee replacement surgeries. The technology comprises a navigation system combined with a robotic arm. This form of surgery allots for more accurate results, less trauma to the bone and tissue; lends to better surgical results, less pain and a faster post-operative recovery.
