Personal Profile

Dr Neha Sekhri is a highly experienced cardiologist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of heart conditions. She has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing comprehensive care for patients with various cardiovascular problems.

Dr Sekhri has a particular interest in heart failure and inherited heart diseases, such as cardiomyopathies. She is also a leading expert in cardiac imaging, specialising in cardiac MRI. She performs cardiac MRI scans at both The London Chest Hospital and The London Independent Hospital.

Dr Sekhri possesses a strong foundation in cardiology. She completed her medical degree in India and subsequently pursued in-depth research at Queen Mary University, London. Her PhD research focused on the prognosis of patients with chest pain and angina, analysing data from over 10,000 patients. This significant research has been widely published and has contributed to shaping national healthcare policies.

Dr Sekhri completed her specialist cardiology training at Barts Health NHS Trust, where she gained valuable experience in managing complex cardiovascular conditions. She was appointed as a Cardiology Consultant at Barts Health NHS Trust in 2012 and currently practices at both The London Chest Hospital and Newham University Hospital.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr Sekhri is an esteemed academic. She holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, further solidifying her commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of cardiology.
