Dr Chahal is a consultant Cardiologist and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London. He works at London Northwest University Healthcare NHS Trust.

He qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School in 2001 and was awarded a PhD in 2012 for research into early imaging markers of cardiovascular disease, particularly in individuals of Indian Asian ethnicity. He has published extensively in these areas and also in the assessment of valvular heart disease.

Dr Chahal has accrued extensive experience in non-invasive chest pain assessment using exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiography, coronary CT angiography and cardiac MRI.
