About Naveen Mudalagiri
Personal Profile
Dr Naveen Mudalagiri is a specialist Consultant Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiologist with professional accreditation and expertise in the diagnosis and management of cardiac/ heart problems. He is registered with the General Medical Council and is on the specialist register for cardiology and general internal medicine. He completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in London, rotating through various prestigious London Teaching Hospitals. He performs coronary angiography and angioplasty (stent insertion) and is part of regional primary angioplasty (heart attack) services which provides emergency treatment for patients suffering from heart attacks. In addition, he provides treatment and assessments for heart rhythm disorders including pacemaker implantation, valvular heart disease, hypertension, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, heart screening programs and preventative cardiology.
Dr Mudalagiri is chairman for the London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex Educational Faculty and has been an advisory member for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). He also sits on various London Royal College of Physician committees.
He has NHS practices based at Medway Maritime Hospital & St. Thomas’ Hospital London.
Dr Naveen Mudalagiri has been extensively involved in human medical research investigating ways of protecting the human heart during heart attacks and was awarded his MD (Doctor of Medicine degree from University College London). He has published many peer reviewed papers and has presented his research nationally and internationally. He has also been a finalist for 2 consecutive years for the Royal Society of Medicine Medal for medical research.
Dr Mudalagiri has also been nominated for an NHS WOW award and has been awarded Clinical Excellence Awards from the NHS for his contributions to medical care and medical education. He is a selected member of TOPDOCTORS UK and has the highest 5 star patient recommendations for cardiologists in the London area and has recently been awarded the IWANTGREATCARE 2021 Certificate of Excellence for delivering outstanding patient care.
