Mr Muhammed Shakeel completed his basic and higher surgical training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery through the Northeast of Scotland training scheme, rotating between Aberdeen and Dundee.
In 2014–2015, he undertook a prestigious fellowship at Manukau Super Clinic in Auckland, New Zealand.
Since returning, Mr Shakeel has been serving as a Consultant Head & Neck and Thyroid Surgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He has a particular interest in salivary gland disorders and endolaryngeal surgery, including laser treatment for early-stage laryngeal cancers.
Mr Shakeel is actively involved in academic research and has presented and published widely. His full list of publications is available on PubMed and ResearchGate.
He is also passionate about teaching and regularly mentors undergraduate medical and nursing students, as well as junior and senior medical colleagues.
