Dr. Baig is a Consultant Haematologist with extensive experience across multiple NHS trusts since 2020. He currently serves as both Consultant Haematologist and Clinical Director at the Department of Clinical Haematology, East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT) in Blackburn.

In his leadership role, Dr. Baig chairs the Haematology Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) at ELHT and plays an active part in several key committees, including the VTE, Blood Transfusion, and IVIG Committees. He is also the departmental lead for Governance, Quality Improvement (QIP), and Audit, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and continuous service development.

Dr. Baig has been a GMC-recognised trainer, fulfilling both Educational Supervisor (ES) and Clinical Supervisor (CS) roles, and has served as a Medical Appraiser since 2023, supporting professional development and appraisal processes for medical colleagues.
