About Dr Mudiyur Gopi

Personal Profile

Dr. Mudiyur Gopi is a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Allergy at Macclesfield District General Hospital, which is part of East Cheshire NHS Trust. He obtained his medical degree from Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University in India in 1993. Later, he moved to the UK and became a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2001. In 2007, Dr. Gopi completed a Master’s degree in child health at the University of Leeds. He also holds a Master’s degree in Allergy from Imperial College, London, and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2014.

In 2008, Dr Gopi was appointed a Locum Consultant Paediatrician before becoming a full-time consultant in 2009. He assumed the role of Consultant Paediatrician with a Special Interest in Allergy in 2015 and is the lead of the Paediatric Allergy Service at his NHS post. Additionally, he serves as the Chief Clinical Information Officer for the hospital.
