About Dr Moulinath Banerjee

Personal Profile

Dr Banerjee qualified in India, where he completed his MD degree. He then came to the UK and obtained his MRCP (UK), PhD degrees from Manchester University, CCT in Diabetes and Endocrinology and Postgraduate certification in Medical Education.

After working as a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology in Cumbria Partnership NHS Trust and Wirral University Hospitals NHS Trust, Dr Banerjee has worked at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust since 2015.

He is a Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Centre for the Endocrinology and Diabetes Research Group at the University of Manchester and is currently Departmental and Divisional Research Lead within the Trust. He is an enthusiastic teacher, running a course for trainees in Diabetes and Endocrinology for the last 10 years and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Medical Education.

Dr Banerjee’s main research interest is in cardiovascular disease in patients with pre-diabetes and endocrine diseases. His other interests include cricket, photography, reading books and travelling.
