Mr Mohan Pullagura is an experienced Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, specialising in shoulder, elbow, and upper limb conditions. He offers expert assessment and treatment for a wide range of disorders, with particular expertise in minimally invasive and arthroscopic shoulder procedures. Mr Pullagura is committed to delivering personalised, evidence‑based care to help patients restore function, reduce pain, and return to the activities they enjoy.
Based at Whiston Hospital and St Helens Hospital, he also serves as the Trust Lead for Infection Control—reflecting his dedication to the highest standards of patient safety and clinical quality.
Mr Pullagura completed his MBBS at the University of Health Sciences in 1995 before undertaking postgraduate training and a master’s degree in orthopaedics. He achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009, marking a significant milestone in his surgical career. In 2012, he completed an advanced specialist fellowship in upper limb surgery, further refining his skills in complex and minimally invasive procedures for the shoulder and elbow. His focus on arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques aims to reduce post‑operative pain and promote faster recovery.
Mr Pullagura is actively involved in professional development and collaborative learning. He is a member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) and the North West Upper Limb Group, participating in regional and national forums that promote excellence and innovation in upper limb surgery.
