Mr Mohammad Waseem is a fully trained and qualified NHS Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon. He was employed at Macclesfied District General Hospital in Cheshire. Special clinical interests include arthroscopic surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder and his practice also provides comprehensive upper limb and trauma surgery cover as well. Mr Waseem has trained in three regions; Manchester, Yorkshire and Wessex. His fellowships undertaken include; an upper limb fellowship in Wrightington and 14 months as an upper limb registrar in Southampton. The trauma year was spent in Leeds and Hull.
There were 2 overseas fellowships during this period; a travelling fellowship to the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland for training in microvascular hand surgery and a travelling trauma fellowship sponsored by AO in Germany. He is actively involved in research and training of junior doctors and has numerous publications and international presentations to his credit. Outside of medicine Mohammad Waseem in an avid cricketer having represented his region as an under nineteen player and he still continues to participate in club level cricket.
