Mohamed Al-Obaidi Personal Profile

Dr Mohamed Al-Obaidi is an Interventional consultant cardiologist based in West London, Berkshire and Surrey. He specialises in invasive and interventional cardiac procedures including coronary angioplasty and is also specialist in complex cardiac device implantation including cardiac defibrillators and biventricular pacemakers. Additionally, he is expert in the treatment of cardiac diseases such as coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease and heart failure. 

Dr Al-Obaidi was awarded a doctorate degree from the University of London, Imperial College, in 2000. He completed his specialist training in Northwest London in Cardiology in 2006. He has a wealth of experience in interventional cardiology and cardiac device implantation, particularly percutaneous coronary interventions, including IVUS, OCT and pressure-wire catheter assessments, permanent pacemaker implantations and transoesophageal and transthoracic echocardiography. 

Dr Al-Obaidi is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians and the European Society of Cardiology. He is also a member of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) and the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI). He has written numerous peer reviewed papers in cardiology and was a senior research fellow at the National Heart and Lung Institute at the Royal Brompton Hospital.
