Mr Ismail is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, with a specialist interest in knee and hip surgery.
He joined Trafford as a Consultant in 1999, after completing his specialist training in Orthopaedics and Trauma in the Edinburgh Orthopaedic Training Programme. He has visited centres of excellence in orthopaedic surgery in the US and Europe to learn new techniques. Mr Ismail specialises in all aspects of knee surgery, including sports injuries.
Mr Ismail is presently involved in promoting short-stay hip and knee replacements by minimally-invasive surgery and new techniques of pain control and rehabilitation.
