Mr Baig is the Surgical Endoscopy Lead at Worthing Hospital. He is also a member of the National Cancer Peer Review Team (since 2005) and is also a reviewer for British Journal of Surgery. He is also appointed as Clinical Senior Lecturer in Surgery at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
Mr Baig has been instrumental in the development of Laparoscopic (keyhole) Colorectal Surgery at Worthing. He has presented his results of surgery in both national and international meetings. He has a special interest in hernia repair, colonoscopy, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for colorectal cancer and benign conditions such as diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel disease.
He is developing management of faecal incontinence including assessment with endonal ultrasound and anal sphincter repairs.
