About Michael Youssef Morcos

Personal Profile

Mr Michael Morcos qualified from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt in 1977 and obtained his Postgraduate training from the UK. During his training Mr Morcos worked at University College Hospital (UCL) and Queen’s Charlotte Hospital and gained extensive experience in both fields of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He passed the MRCOG exams and become a Member then a Fellow in the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (RCOG).

Currently, Mr Morcos is a senior consultant at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust. He is the lead consultant in Gynaecological cancer. Mr Morcos’s specialist interest is in minimal access and vaginal surgery. Being a BSCCP accredited colposcopist, he is heavily involved in the cervical screening program and provision of colposcopy service for women in North London.

In recognition of his significant involvement in teaching undergraduates, Mr Morcos has been awarded Honorary Clinical Teacher in the Department of O&G by UCL. He is also a member of the RCOG national and international Hospital Recognition Committee.

Mr Morcos uses the most up-to-date technology in the management of uterine fibroids, endometriosis, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, genital prolapse, infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and persistent vaginal discharge.
