Dr Lazdam is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist.
She graduated from the University of Sheffield. She was awarded a DPhil for her research in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Oxford. She completed cardiology training in the East of England Deanery with Subspecialty training at Papworth Hospital. She worked as a Locum Consultant Cardiologist at the Golden Jubilee Hospital and Royal Infirmary in Glasgow prior to commencing a substantive consultant post at Glenfield Hospital in 2020.
She has a wealth of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with palpitations, heart rhythm disorders, blackouts, heart failure, shortness
of breath and chest pain.
She is an expert in catheter ablation for cardiac arrhythmia including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, ectopics and ventricular tachycardia using the latest mapping and ablation technologies. She performs permanent pacemakers, defibrillators and insertion of atrial appendage closure devices. She also performs catheter ablation in patients with congenital heart disease.
She presented her research and clinical work at national and international meetings and conferences.
She speaks fluent Arabic and French.
She enjoys rambling, reading, music and company with family and friends.
