Dr Malekian is a Consultant Cardiologist in Lanarkshire, providing inpatient and outpatient services at University Hospital Wishaw. He carries out coronary intervention at University Hospital Hairmyers and participates in out of hours regional primary angioplasty service for acute heart attack patients.

He had extensive training in all aspects of general cardiology in West of Scotland and completed additional sub-specialty training in coronary intervention in Canada.

Dr Malekian specialises in investigation and management of coronary heart disease including coronary intervention, heart failure, heart valve disorders and Hypertension and arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation.
