About Mr Mazhar Sheikh

Personal Profile

Mr Sheikh is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Beaumont Hospital in Bolton.

He graduated from the prestigious 'Dow Medical College' in Karachi, Pakistan in 1997.

Mr Sheikh undertook his basic and higher specialist urological surgical training in tertiary care centres in Ireland and England. He then gained a 'Urology' fellowship into the 'Royal College of Surgeons' FRCS in 2014. Having completed his clinical fellowship in 'Laparoscopic Urology' in 2016, he was appointed as a 'Consultant Urological Surgeon'.

He is actively involved in teaching medical students both at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, and is faculty of multiple national and international urology courses. He enjoys his roles as an educator, examiner, clinical and educational supervisor.

He provides acute and elective care to both male and female patients with urological problems. He has vast experience in endo-urological procedures, and performs a wide range of general and core urology procedures routinely.

Mr Sheikh believes in providing personalised, patient-centred safe care in a friendly and compassionate environment.
