About Mr Matthew Hillier

Personal Profile

Matthew qualified from the European School of Physiotherapy with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in 2020 and is HCPC and CSP registered. He has since built a broad base of clinical experience across both the NHS and private practice.

Matthew spent his early career completing general physiotherapy rotations before moving into a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy role at the Royal Free Hospital in London. During this time, he worked in Hand Therapy where he developed experience in treating post-surgical and trauma-related conditions of the hand and wrist. Alongside his NHS role, he gained over two years of private practice experience, working closely with consultants and refining his expertise in musculoskeletal and sports injury rehabilitation.

He has a particular interest in hand therapy, exercise-based rehabilitation and strength and conditioning, and uses a patient-centred approach to help individuals achieve their goals.

Outside of clinical practice, Matthew is a keen basketball player and enjoys long distance running and strength training. His background as a qualified personal trainer complements his physiotherapy practice, particularly in helping patients progress from injury management back to sport, activity, and long-term health.
