About Dr Mark Hargreaves

Dr Mark Robert Hargreaves MD FRCP is a Consultant Cardiologist and Physician with over 23 years of experience. He qualified from the University of Dundee 1982 (MB ChB), and completed post graduate training in Cardiology in London, Oxford and as an international fellow in Canada (Edmonton). He is a fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians and European Cardiac Society. He has specialist accreditation in the management of heart failure and cardiac rhythm abnormalities, including complex device therapy (CCDS). His clinical interests include the investigation and management of patients with shortness of breath, chest pain or palpitations. He will review patients at short notice in a dedicated weekly clinic at the Highfield Hospital, Rochdale. In addition, he has an established weekly diagnostic ECG (electrical heart tracing) and echocardiography (ultrasound scan of the heart) service and is happy to review patients both with and without referral letters.
He has weekly clinics at the Highfield Hospital (Rochdale) and the Alexandra Hospital (Cheadle).
He is registered as an accredited specialist with the GMC (2580632), and is indemnified with the MDU (351890).
