About Mr Mark Yardley

Personal Profile

Mr Yardley is a Consultant ENT Surgeon based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, with a private practice at Thornbury Hospital.

He graduated from Cardiff in 1984 and undertook surgical training in the Cardiff, Nottingham, Birmingham and Sheffield/Doncaster training programmes. During this time, he undertook research which culminated in a Master of Philosophy degree. Before taking up a full time Consultant post in the NHS, Mr Yardley undertook a Skull Base and Neuro-otology Fellowship in Toronto, Canada.

He is currently the Senior Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Royal Hallamshire, as well as the Clinical Governance Lead. His main interest is in ear disease and he is a core member of the skull base multi-disciplinary team, a tertiary referral centre for skull base disease which includes complex pathology in the bone housing the ear.

He sees patients with general ENT problems and has a sub-specialist interest in ear disease.

In his spare time he enjoys walking, cycling and film.
