Mr Manish Maheshwari is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist with over 15 years of dedicated training and clinical practice in the field of gynaecology. Currently based at The Clementine Churchill Hospital, Mr Maheshwari brings a wealth of expertise in both general and specialist gynaecological care, offering his patients a comprehensive and compassionate approach to diagnosis and treatment.

With more than 11 years of experience as a substantive NHS Consultant, Mr Maheshwari has developed particular expertise in complex benign gynaecology, oncology, and colposcopy. His clinical practice covers a wide range of both minor and major gynaecological procedures, including open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical techniques. He is especially recognised for his skill in managing difficult and advanced cases that require tailored surgical planning and meticulous execution.

Mr Maheshwari has undertaken extensive specialist training, including two years as a tertiary-level cancer fellow and an additional 18-month honorary fellowship in peritoneal cancer at the renowned Peritoneal Malignancy Institute. During this time, he worked closely with multidisciplinary teams treating rare and complex malignancies such as pseudomyxoma peritonei, peritoneal mesothelioma, and colonic peritoneal metastases, including involvement in hepatic resections. This specialist experience has equipped him with advanced surgical competencies and a deep understanding of oncological pathways, allowing him to offer patients the highest standard of care in both diagnosis and treatment planning.

His surgical expertise includes a wide array of procedures such as hysterectomy (including radical hysterectomy), pelvic lymph node dissection, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and full staging for ovarian cancer. He is also highly proficient in managing advanced benign conditions, such as stage IV endometriosis and fibroid disease. His advanced laparoscopic and robotic skills enable him to offer minimally invasive approaches even for challenging cases, including hysterectomy for large uteri and complex myomectomies.

Mr Maheshwari has a particular interest in fibroid management and uterine-sparing procedures. He is known for his expertise in large uterus morcellation and myomectomy using contained morcellation techniques, ensuring patient safety and effective outcomes. Additionally, he offers a full range of hysteroscopic procedures, including fibroid resection and MyoSure polypectomy, providing minimally invasive solutions for intrauterine pathology.

Mr Maheshwari offers minimally invasive surgery using the da Vinci 5 Surgical System at The Clementine Churchill Hospital, the UK’s first private hospital to adopt this advanced robotic-assisted technology. Leveraging enhanced precision, 3D visualisation, and wristed instruments, they deliver improved surgical outcomes, shorter recovery times, and care across his specialty in gynaecology.
