About Dr Manish Kalla

Personal Profile

Dr Manish Kalla is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist.

He qualified with distinction from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine. He completed his training in internal medicine in London, followed by specialist cardiology training in Cardiff.

He then undertook research at the University of Oxford as a British Heart Foundation Fellow and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in 2014.

Dr Kalla completed advanced training in electrophysiology and cardiac device therapy in Oxford and Melbourne between 2014 and 2017. During this time, he developed specialist expertise in the catheter ablation of both atrial and ventricular heart rhythm disorders.

He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham in 2018.

Dr Kalla specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias). He performs catheter ablation procedures and cardiac device implants, helping to restore and regulate heart rhythm in patients with complex conditions.

He also leads and delivers the Inherited Cardiac Conditions clinic, providing specialist assessment and management for patients with genetic or familial heart rhythm and structural heart diseases.

Dr Kalla is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care with a focus on accurate diagnosis, advanced treatment options, and improving long-term outcomes for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
