Mr Makhosini Mlotshwa is a consultant General, Upper GI and Bariatric Surgeon. At Goring Hall Hospital he treats common conditions such as gallbladder, gallstones, hernia, lumps and bumps, haemorrhoid and fissures. He sees patients from Worthing, Pulborough, Horsham, West Sussex and further afield. 

He specialises in gastrointestinal conditions. He performs open and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for gastrointestinal conditions that include gallbladder, gallstones, cholecystitis,  bowel and appendix.
He also performs surgery for abdominal wall hernia, lumps and bumps, benign anorectal, pilonidal disease and endoscopy. His subspecialty is bariatric/weight loss surgery, that he practces in Guildford Nuffield Hospital with Streamline Clinics Ltd.

Mr Mlotshwa qualified in 1997 and obtained a fellowship in general surgery with the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa in 2005. He further pursued postgraduate training in the United Kingdom obtaining Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2015.

He also completed a year Fellowship in Bariatric (weight loss) and Metabolic surgery with University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. Institute that is accredited by the International Federation for Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO) as a centre of excellence.

Mr M Mlotshwa is a keen teacher of basic principles of surgery on both national and international platforms. He has interests in key national and international research collaborations.

His hobbies include golf, cycling and sightseeing.
