Dr Majid Mushtaq is a Consultant in General and Respiratory medicine for the last 20 years. His NHS commitments are at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford and Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup. He has previously been a Clinical Director for Medicine.

He has an interest in developing procedures and pathways for rapid and less invasive ways to diagnose respiratory conditions. Dr Mushtaq has developed the Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and the Medical Thoracoscopy service at Darent Valley Hospital which is available to private patients.

Dr Mushtaq frequently investigates and treats difficult-to-understand general symptoms like cough, shortage of breath and lack of energy etc. 

He also has an interest in education and training in Respiratory Medicine. Dr Mushtaq is a member of speciality training committee for Respiratory medicine in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery.
