About Dr Lucky Saraswat

Personal Profile

Dr Saraswat is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Minimal access surgeon in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary since 2014. She is the Lead for the Aberdeen Endometriosis Centre which provides tertiary care services for endometriosis patients in the North and North East of Scotland.

Prior to taking up her consultant post she completed her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Aberdeen. She was awarded gold medal for MRCOG in 2005. She went on to do the prestigious RCOG Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship and undertakes complex laparoscopic surgery.

Her clinical interests include endometriosis and pelvic pain, menstrual problems, pelvic floor dysfunction and all general gynaecological problems in premenopausal and postmenopausal women.

She has a keen interest in women’s health research. Her PhD focussed on long term health outcomes in women with endometriosis. She has published several papers in high impact journals and delivered invited lectures in various national and international conferences. She is actively engaged in a wide variety of research projects to improve women’s health both locally and nationally.
