About Lizzy Egbase

Personal Profile

Dr Lizzy is an experienced consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist based in London with a special interest in gynaecological care including heavy periods, painful periods, ovarian cysts, alongside fibroids, contraception and early pregnancy problems. 

Dr Lizzy graduated from the prestigious University College London Medical School. She then obtained a national training number from the London/Kent Surrey Sussex region where she completed her obstetrics and gynaecology training, rotating through academic institution in Sussex and busy clinical hospitals in Kent, Surry and South London.

Dr Lizzy completed a medical education fellowship at the Barts health Education Academy and was awarded a Masters, with distinction, in medical Education.

Since 2021 Dr Lizzy has been a substantive consultant at Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, where she where she holds a number of clinical and leaderships roles.

Dr Lizzy prides herself in delivering expert patient-centres clinical care in obstetrics and gynaecology. Her areas of expertise include acute gynaecology, gynaecology ultrasound, management of benign gynaecology presentation in the outpatient setting as well as open and laparoscopic gynaecology surgery. 

She is an effective and compassionate clinician who enjoys the dynamic and diverse nature of the clinical work and care delivers.
