About Miss Lilian Ugwumadu

Personal Profile

Miss Lilian Ugwumadu is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and the Lead for Fertility, Reproductive Medicine and Preterm Birth at Ashford & St Peter's Hospital NHS Trust.

She has undertaken advanced specialist training in Subfertility and Reproductive Health, as well as a dedicated Fellowship in Endometriosis and Minimal Access Surgery. Additionally, she completed a two-year clinical fellowship on Prematurity and Recurrent Miscarriage at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington.

Miss Ugwumadu is skilled in a broad range of gynaecological surgical procedures, including advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, and also provides fertility and assisted conception treatments.

She is passionate about medical education, and is the KSS ATSM preceptor for Subfertility and Reproductive Health, supporting the training of future specialists. She is an active member of both the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE). Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and she has contributed to book chapters and presented at both national and international conferences.
