Personal Profile

Dr Lilia Khafizova is a Consultant Radiologist, specialising in gynaecology and urogenital tract imaging, as well as general oncological imaging.

Training and Appointment

Dr Khafizova graduated from University of Crete in 2012 and moved to the UK for specialist Radiology training. She trained in Mersey and London Deaneries rotating in the largest University Hospitals (Aintree and Guy’s and St Thomas). She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2017. 

Dr Khafizova was appointed as a consultant at the Royal Surrey  County Hospital in 2019 with a special interest in abdominal, gynaecological and urogenital tract radiology. 

Current Practice 


She performs general and internal gynaecological ultrasound scans. She reports a wide range of body CT and specialises in MRI of the pelvis, endometriosis and urogenital tract.  Dr Khafizova has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and regularly teaches radiology trainees and medical students.
