About Mrs Laura Pugh

Personal Profile

Laura qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2015 and has since gained extensive clinical experience across NHS and private healthcare settings. She provides physiotherapy at Droitwich Spa Hospital, with a background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and orthopaedic rehabilitation, alongside a special interest in pelvic health. Laura is passionate about delivering personalised, evidence-based care to help patients manage their symptoms, restore function and improve their quality of life.

She began her career in the NHS as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist, assessing and treating a wide range of conditions and injuries. During this time, she supported patients experiencing both acute and chronic pain, developing a strong foundation in clinical assessment, treatment planning and rehabilitation.

In 2020, Laura moved into private healthcare, initially working with patients recovering from orthopaedic surgery. She gained experience in post-operative rehabilitation, mobility assessment and discharge planning before progressing into outpatient physiotherapy. In this role, she helped patients manage musculoskeletal conditions and regain strength, mobility and confidence through rehabilitation programmes tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Laura subsequently developed a special interest in pelvic health physiotherapy and has completed additional training to further develop her knowledge and clinical skills in this area. She understands the impact pelvic health concerns can have on comfort, confidence and quality of life, and is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their symptoms.

At Droitwich Spa Hospital, Laura takes a holistic, patient-centred approach, combining her experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, orthopaedic rehabilitation and pelvic health to support patients throughout their recovery. She works collaboratively with patients to understand their concerns, establish individual goals and develop treatment plans that help them improve their symptoms, regain confidence in movement and return to everyday activities.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Laura continually expands her clinical knowledge to ensure she provides high-quality, individualised care.
