About Dr Lalith Seneviratne

Personal Profile

Dr Seneviratne is a highly skilled Consultant in Medical Oncology. He graduated from Medical Faculty of University of Colombo in 1997, after completing Diploma in Child Health. Following this, he went on for postgraduate training in Oncology in 2004, during which time he completed the MD in oncology in 2008. On completion of training, he joined the Royal Marsden Hospital in London in 2010 as a Registrar and completed his MRCP, MRCP SCE in Medical Oncology and ESMO Certification whilst working in the field of oncology in a number of hospitals across UK.

Dr Seneviratne has worked as a Consultant Medical Oncologist since 2016 starting in Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust and then in University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Trust where he got involved with groundbreaking research work in upper gastrointestinal cancers, gynaecological cancers and Germ cell tumours. He then moved to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2024 where he currently works full time treating gynaecological and breast cancers with ongoing research interest.
