Personal Profile
Dr Krishna Basavaraju is a Consultant Gastroenterologist based at West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds. He qualified from Mysore University in India before moving to the UK for further higher education and training. Dr Basavaraju did his Gastroenterology rotation in South East London including training at the prestigious Guys and St Thomas' Hospital. He was trained in the management of complicated Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Gastro-Oesophageal disease patients during his time at Guys and St Thomas'.
He joined West Suffolk Hospital in 2009 as a full time Consultant in Gastroenterology and General Medicine. Dr Basavaraju's special interest and expertise are in the management of patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Gastro-Oesphageal Reflux Disease and Malnutrition.
