Mr Hosny is a Consultant Urological Surgeon specializing in minimal access upper tract surgery, with a focus on robotic and laparoscopic renal procedures.

Mr Hosny embarked on their medical journey at Ain Shams University’s Medical school in Cairo, earning an MBBCh in 2004. Furthering their specialization, he obtained a Master's degree in Urology in 2009 from the same university, followed by an MRCS in 2010. Committed to continuous professional development, Mr Hosny completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education in 2015 from Edge Hill university and achieved the FRCS (Urology) in 2018

Since July 2019, Mr Hosny has been working as a Consultant Urological Surgeon. He was appointed at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in September 2022. In this role, they perform a wide range of urological procedures, with a particular emphasis on minimally invasive techniques. Their expertise encompasses:

  • Robotic and laparoscopic upper tract surgery
  • Core urological procedures including inguinoscrotal surgery
  • Cystoscopies and BPH treatment
  • Management of urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence
  • Vasectomy procedures
