Dr Salako is a Consultant Dermatologist at Northampton General Hospital, where he serves as the Clinical Lead for the Dermatology Department.

He qualified from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria, in 2002 before moving to the United Kingdom. He completed his General Medicine and Dermatology training in Wales and subsequently undertook specialist training in Paediatric Dermatology at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Dr Salako has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating skin conditions in patients of all ages and skin types, including white, Black, and Asian skin. His approach combines evidence-based medicine with personalised care, ensuring patients receive treatment tailored to their individual needs and concerns.

He is committed to providing care in a friendly, professional environment, treating all patients with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Dr Salako provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions affecting both adults and children.

Mole checks and mole mapping

Dr Salako runs a specialist Mole Mapping Service at Three Shires Hospital for patients concerned about moles or skin cancer surveillance.

Mole mapping uses computer-assisted photography and digital dermoscopy to create a detailed record of the skin and moles across the body. These images can then be monitored over time to identify any changes that may require further investigation.

This service is particularly useful for patients with:

• Multiple moles
• A history of changing moles
• Concerns about skin cancer
• A need for ongoing mole monitoring

The Mole Mapping Clinic runs on Saturdays and appointments can be arranged through the hospital or via Dr Salako’s medical secretary.

His broad clinical background allows him to manage a diverse range of dermatological conditions across all age groups.
