Mr Qurashi is a very experienced Laparoscopic (KeyHole) surgeon. He graduated MBBS in 1991 from University of the Punjab, Lahore and did his training at Postgraduate Medical Centre before he came to UK and became Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 1999. Mr Qurashi started his NHS career form Ealing Hospital. He was awarded Masters in Surgical Sciences (MSc) for his research in gall bladders diseases by Imperial College. He continued his clinical and academic journey and was granted with Speciality Board FRCS in General Surgery in 2011. He received training for laparoscopic colorectal surgery as a part of National Training Programme.
His first Consultant post was at Ealing Hospital. Mr Qurashi was lead for Upper GI surgery (2010 -11) and he was part of the team setting up Laparoscopic colorectal surgery.
Mr Qurashi is currently working at Northwick Park Hospital providing General and emergency surgery services to the community. Mr Qurashi is an experienced endoscopist providing diagnostic and therapeutic services for gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Mr Qurashi is very passionate in training junior doctors and young surgeons. He has been given Honorary Senior Lecturer Title by Imperial College Medical School and Adjunct Associate Professor Title by American University of Caribbean for teaching medical student.
