About Dr Kamal Khan

Personal Profile

Dr Khan has been a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist since 2014. He completed his training in 2012, and then completed a Fellowship at Wythenshawe Hospital.

He is based at Pennine Acute NHS Trust and also participates in the regional heart attack primary PCI service at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. He undertakes assessment for all cardiac conditions, but specialises in coronary artery disease. His area of expertise is coronary angioplasty (stents).

Dr Khan undertakes the majority of his procedures from the wrist (radial approach). This allows a patient to be more comfortable in their post-procedure recovery but, more importantly, is associated with a lower risk of post-procedure complication.

Undergoing a stenting procedure can be very daunting. Dr Khan’s professional, pleasant and calm manner will ensure you are confident through every step of your experience. The Consultant Care  team also support his practice; they provide support throughout the journey and ensure your every need is met from the moment you pick up the phone to us. They provide an unparalleled level of service.

He is actively involved in the improvement of the cardiac care of the region’s patients with him also being a Clinical Associate of the Greater Manchester Strategic Cardiac Network.
