About Joseph Williams

Personal Profile

Following graduation from Keele University in 2009, Joe completed rotations across the major disciplines of physiotherapy in an acute NHS hospital before specialising as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist in 2012. Alongside his main clinical practice, Joe has supported Guildford Rugby club providing both pitchside cover and injury rehabilitation and worked with a private sports injury clinic. He has since worked in a local private gym and hospital. During the first COVID-19 lockdown, Joe was proud to facilitate the post-operative recovery of patients following emergency cancer surgery, and went on to manage the Physiotherapy team in the same private hospital. He moved to Mount Alvernia Hospital in 2022 to both return to his roots of clinical musculoskeletal Physiotherapy part time, and to allow him to pursue his passion of producing music.

Joe treats a wide variety of conditions, and particularly enjoys working with sports injury rehabilitation. He is also the chair of the Mount Alvernia Green Team, working with a cross-disciplinary staff group to reduce the environmental impact of the hospital. Joe enjoys and promotes an active lifestyle with running half marathons as his main sport, although he'll climb, cycle, paddleboard and attempt surfing when given the chance.
