He qualified from Birmingham Medical School in 2000 and completed postgraduate training in general hospital medicine in Bath in 2005, completing his general practice training in Dorset in 2007. He has extensive experience as a local NHS GP in the Bournemouth and Poole area, was an NHS GP Partner at Lilliput Surgery for twelve years and is an experienced GP trainer.
His clinical time is divided between NHS GP work, private GP services at The Harbour Hospital, and his own business providing private GP home visits. Dr Snell has a special interest in complex adult medicine which stems from his hospital training.
Dr Snell passionately believes in the value of patients having enough time to be listened to, of receiving clear explanations and advice, and of feeling cared for.
