Mr Robinson is a Consultant Laparoscopic, General and Colorectal Surgeon at The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate.

He graduated from The University of Leeds Medical School in 1995. After basic surgical training in Leeds, he undertook 2 years of research for a Doctorate of Medicine thesis into colorectal cancer at the Institute of Molecular Medicine and Cancer Research UK at St James's Hospital in Leeds.

Following this, he underwent higher surgical training in the Yorkshire region with extensive specialisation in laparoscopic and colorectal surgery. He specialises in delivering high quality laparoscopic surgery, having been a national trainer in this field.

Prior to commencing as a Consultant Surgeon at Bradford Royal Infirmary in 2009, Mr Robinson undertook a year fellowship to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, South Australia, gaining vast experience in the treatment of cancer of the colon and rectum.

He worked at Bradford Royal Infirmary until September 2022, moving to Harrogate District Hospital in October 2022.

Clinical Interests

My main clinical interest is the treatment and surgery for colorectal cancer utilising minimally invasive surgery. I specialise in delivering high quality laparoscopic surgery, having been a national trainer for laparoscopic surgery.

I also provide surgery for routine conditions such as surgery for gall bladder disease, hernias, and haemorrhoids as well as providing investigations such as endoscopy and colonoscopy.
I have a further specialist interest in providing minimally invasive surgery for rectal cancers to prevent certain patients the need for  major surgery.
