About John Evans

Personal Profile

Mr Evans qualified as a doctor at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London in 1997. After basic surgical training, he undertook an MD at the University of Leicester, which was awarded in 2005. He undertook higher surgical training in general and colorectal surgery in the Leicester region and was national President of the Duke’s Club for colorectal trainees.

After completing a dedicated Laparoscopic Fellowship at St Mark’s Hospital in London, Mr Evans went on to gain a Post CCT Fellowship specialising in the treatment of both early and advanced colorectal cancer, including advanced colonoscopy techniques. He was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon in Northampton in March 2010, and is the clinical lead for the Enhanced Recovery Programme.
