Dr Chong studied medicine at Trinity College Dublin and qualified in 1992. He has been working as Consultant Physician, Diabetologist and Endocrinologist since 2000. His research leading to an MD thesis at the University of Liverpool was in the field of growth hormone deficiency. His NHS practice is at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital Winchester where he sees patients with a wide range of endocrine disorders including thyroid disease, pituitary, adrenal, hypogonadism, hyperlipidaemia, calcium disorders etc. Mr Chong also sees patients with diabetes and provide consultations in General Medicine.
He is a Director of Medical Education for St George’s International School of Medicine Grenada, and Associate Medical Director for Governance for Hampshire Hospitals. In addition, he is a PACES examiner for the Royal College of Physicians London, examining in UK and internationally.
