Personal Profile

Dr Iqbal runs weekly clinics at The Winterbourne Hospital in Dorchester in Dorset. He diagnoses and treats a range of cardiac problems. His special interests include: coronary artery disease; coronary angina; chest pain; coronary angioplasty and stents; intravascular ultrasound; arrhythmias; palpitations; atrial fibrillation; ambulatory ECG monitoring; hypertension; heart failure; heart valve diseases, cardiomyopathies and echocardiography.

Dr Iqbal qualified in 1985 with an MBBS from King Edward Medical University Lahore. He continued his general medical training at Mayo Hospital in Lahore and then undertook cardiology training in North West of England. He also spent some time in Saudi Arabia where he worked as an interventional cardiologist.

Dr Iqbal has been working as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Dorset County Hospital since 2007.
