Dr Jason Williams is Consultant Dermatologist and Director of the Contact Dermatitis Investigation Unit at Salford Royal Hospital, commencing the post in 2008. Shortly after his appointment, he took up his position as Consultant Dermatologist at The Beaumont Hospital in Bolton.

Having trained at Manchester University, Dr Williams completed his junior medical jobs in Manchester and Bolton, before entering the dermatology training scheme in the North West, based out of Salford Royal Hospital. Towards the end of his training, Dr Williams undertook 2 years research in occupational contact dermatitis in Melbourne, Australia, before returning to take up the position of Director of the Contact Dermatitis Investigation Unit at Salford Royal Hospital. This unit is the largest patch testing unit in Europe, testing between 1500 and 2000 patients per year, taking referrals from the North West and beyond.

Dr Williams is past President of the British Society for Cutaneous Allergy and his research interests are occupational dermatology and the patho-physiology of allergic contact dermatitis. He has links with the University of Manchester.

Dr Williams is a highly experienced Dermatologist, dealing with a vast array of general dermatological conditions which can arise in the general population. His main interest lies within the field of eczema, allergic contact dermatitis and occupational dermatology.
