About Mr James Pollard
Personal Profile
Mr James Pollard is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at Beaumont Hospital in Bolton.
He has worked as a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon since 2016. Following graduation from The University of Manchester, he completed surgical training in the North West with further specialist training in Scotland. His practice covers:
- Diagnosis and treatment of bowel cancer
- Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis)
- Anorectal conditions (haemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas, hernias and endoscopy)
Mr Pollard has an interest in the education of surgeons in training and has undertaken roles including training programme director. He is a member of The Royal College of Surgeons Court of Examiners, involved in the assessment of surgeons in training.
