Personal Profile

James qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Southampton University and has 20 years of varied experience managing complex musculoskeletal and sporting problems. He initially worked for the NHS and the military, gaining experience and expertise in managing patients with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, rheumatological, and paediatric pathologies.

James has worked in private healthcare for over 15 years, during this time he ran a busy sports injury clinic within a gym, working closely with local Orthopaedic consultants. James has been a senior physiotherapist on 3 grand cycling tours providing management of acute and chronic injuries often in a demanding and pressurised environment. This involved providing physiotherapy support to elite and professional cycling personnel. Including members of the pro cycling team Novo Nordisk. Due to his experience within the cycling environment, he has a special interest in the assessment and management of all cycling injuries and is a physiotherapist bike fitter.

James is a Physiotherapy Consultant for the Guildford Flames professional ice hockey team, a dynamic but rewarding role in which James works closely with the sports therapist, coaches and strength and conditioning team, to ensure that players return to the ice as quickly as possible and that they can perform optimally when they do so.
