About Dr Ivan Ramos-Galvez

Personal Profile

Dr Ivan Ramos-Galvez gained his primary degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona, Spain.

He went on to do post-graduate training in the UK from 1997, initially in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery (subspeciality spinal surgery) at Oxford and later in Anaesthesia at Bristol and Imperial College, London.

His subspecialty in Pain Medicine was achieved through a clinical fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Dr Ramos-Galvez has interests in Musculoskeletal Interventional Pain Medicine and Neuropathic Pain including CPRS and Ischaemic syndromes.

His publications include reviews in anaesthetic journals and chapters in major pain textbooks.

Ivan is married with three small children. He enjoys cooking with the children, country walks, cycling and kayaking. He relaxes with historical novels and fictional dramas, and has a passion for classic cars.
