Inistar Mirza Personal Profile

Dr Intisar Mirza is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in coronary artery disease and advanced cardiac interventions. He provides expert care in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, heart rhythm disturbances, and heart failure.

Dr Mirza is skilled in performing coronary angioplasty and stent procedures, as well as implanting permanent pacemakers for slow heart rhythms. He also specialises in complex cardiac devices such as biventricular pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) for patients with heart failure. In addition, he offers advanced imaging services, including CT coronary angiography.

He completed his medical training at Southampton University Medical School, earning both a BM and PhD, and holds a BSc in Anatomy from Birmingham Medical School. His specialist cardiology training (CCST) was undertaken at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, followed by an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in Hamilton, New Zealand.

Dr Mirza is currently an Honorary Interventional Cardiologist at St Thomas’ Hospital in London and sees private patients at Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury. He welcomes referrals for patients experiencing symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, or high blood pressure. He also provides comprehensive assessment and management for angina, valve disease, and heart failure.

A former student of Maidstone Boys’ Grammar School, Dr Mirza combines his deep clinical knowledge with a compassionate, patient-focused approach. He is committed to delivering high-quality, personalised care using the latest techniques and technologies in cardiology.
