Dr Imogen Williams is a Consultant Gastroenterologist in Dorset, providing private gastroenterology services at Harbour Hospital in Poole. She sees patients from across Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch and the wider Dorset area for the investigation and treatment of digestive and liver conditions.

Training and Appointment

Dr Williams qualified in medicine in 2002 after studying at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Medical School. She graduated with honours and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree.

Following medical school, she completed her general medical and specialist gastroenterology training in the West Midlands. During this time, she gained experience across a range of leading hospitals and also worked as a Clinical Lecturer at Birmingham University and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, combining patient care with teaching and research.

In 2013, Dr Williams moved to Dorset after being appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Poole Hospital. Since then, she has established a strong reputation for providing expert gastroenterology care and supporting patients with both common and complex digestive conditions.

Dr Williams is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and a member of the British Medical Association and the British Society of Gastroenterology.

Dr Williams is currently the Clinical Director for Specialist Medicine at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.
