Mr Iftikhar Khan is an experienced General Surgeon. He qualified from Dow Medical College in Pakistan. He completed his surgical training in Pakistan. He then went on to complete specialist surgical training in the UK. This led to him working in major teaching hospitals in both Cambridge and London where he obtained his CCST in 1999.
Mr Khan has been working as a consultant in the NHS since 1999. He is currently a Consultant General Surgeon in Aintree University Hospital. He has extensive experience in the full range of elective and emergency GI surgery, with a special interest in laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy.
Mr Khan has presented and published nationally and internationally. He is keenly involved in teaching and is a member of regional surgical training committee. He is an accredited trainer for upper and lower GI endoscopy and has delivered both training and lectures to students, junior doctors, GP's and nurses. He is also an accredited Bowel cancer screening endoscopist.
