About Mr Hisham Abouzeid

Personal Profile

Mr Hisham Abouzeid has been a gynaecologist for more than 25 years and graduated from medical school in 1983.

In 1994, he obtained the membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). He received the Master Degree (MSc) in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy from Surrey University, the RCOG’s certificate in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery and the accreditation for colposcopy from the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).

Mr Abouzeid is the lead for gynaecological oncology at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in Greater Manchester. In addition to general gynaecological practice, he has developed great experience in undertaking major abdominal, vaginal and laparoscopic surgery and have been training our colleagues in undertaking these procedures. Mr Abouzeid also offers cosmetic gynaecological procedures.

For many years, he led our NHS Trust's colposcopic services reviewing cases with abnormal cervical smear findings. He reviews patients at different private organisations through face-to-face, telephone or video consultations.
